Yes, you've caught me. I took a day off yesterday. I did a lot of work for AG, and I was just drained without much to say. I think that through this 30-day challenge, realistically, I'll probably miss a few other days. Obviously now, it will not be a consecutive 30-days for this challenge…perhaps more like a 30-post challenge. The important thing is that I keep going without being too hard on myself when I simply haven't the energy or desire to post. I think that's often the problem with New Year's Resolutions and things of that nature: we get too caught up with having to do it because we said we'd do it, then are too hard on ourselves when we "mess up", so keeping the resolution fails. But messing up is a part of life. It's how we recover that's the important part. So back into the swing of things!
The most important thing is, I have enjoyed this trip blogging so far. And I do believe with a bit of practice (and, I'm sure, a few missteps along the way), it'll be something I continue to do for a long time.

This post reminds me of this month's Inspired by Reading selection and how (SPOILER ALERT) Meg's gift is her own faults. Perfection is not possible and therefore not something to strive for.
ReplyDeleteI love the tie-in, Ann…let's say that I did it all on purpose…yeah, that's it…it was on purpose…glad you figured it out!! ;-)
DeleteYeah, it's just like anything... you can't beat yourself up when things don't turn out just like you thought they would. If you get stuck for ideas, maybe you could do a catch up post/posts on the last two book club meet ups. Eric and I are willing to make a monetary bribe to see what everyone else made. ;)
